About Us

As  pediatrician born and raised in Mthatha, Dr Jingxi   witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by children who lacked access to quality healthcare. Determined to be part of the solution, she pursued her dream with determination in Medicine to become a pediatrician in her hometown Mthatha.

She obtained her undergraduate degree (MBCHB) in 2012 at Walter Sisulu University (WSU) in Mthatha, in 2013 she did   her internship at Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital, where her love for Paediatrics grew, her empathy and genuine concern for children shone through. In 2015 she worked as a community service medical officer at Dr Malizo Memorial Hospital, where she worked closely with both mother and child. In 2016 she joined the department of Paediatrics and child health at Nelson Mandela Academic Hospital (NMAH), where she served as a Medical officer. Her journey to becoming a Paediatrician in Mthatha  started at NMAH where she wrote her first qualifying exams in 2016 and she started her Registrar training to become a pediatrician with the Durban hospital Complex under University of KwaZulu Natal (UKZN) in 2017, where she gained invaluable experience treating a wide range of paediatric conditions, from common childhood illnesses to complex medical cases. She became a fellow of the college of Paediatricians of South Africa in 2021 and obtained her Masters in Paediatrics and Child health with the University of KwaZulu Natal in 2022.

As a Paediatrician in Mthatha, Dr Jingxi is known for her warm bedside manner and ability to connect with her young patients and their families. She understands the importance of building trust and rapport with her patients.

She is deeply committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to every child she encounters. She believes in a holistic approach to medicine, addressing not only the physical health of her patients but also their emotional and psychological well-being.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr Jingxi is actively involved in community outreach programs aimed at promoting child health and wellness. She volunteers her time at local schools, educating parents and children about the importance of healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care.
